Summer Baseball Camp
In a society focused more on iPads than active play, it’s important that kids realize the value of a healthy, active lifestyle. Our high-paced activities are designed for all ages, which engages all campers to participate while encouraging a fun and fitness-focused environment.
This camp is for kids in grades 3 to 8 and runs Monday to Thursday from 9am -12pm. Each day is four hours long and includes baseball practice, scrimmages, and fitness activities.
Camp Details
- Location : Balcones Youth Sports: 3106 Adelphi Ln, Austin, TX 78727, USA
- Kids are grouped by grade: 3rd–5th and 6th–8th. Each group does skill stations and strength training separately.
- Pitching is kept light to protect arms, especially at the start of camp.
- Skill days: Practice hitting, fielding, pitching, and base running.
- Campers complete cross-training and flexibility protocols to improve hip rotation while connecting dynamic power drills for swinging and hitting.
- Younger campers use body-weight for strength; older campers use light weights and focus on technique.
- Speed and throwing tests: Every camper runs a 60-yard dash and their throwing speed is recorded on Day 2. Results are shared at the end of camp.
