I’m a junior at The University of Texas at Austin. I’m studying athletic training with a specialization in strength and conditioning. I am also getting a medical Spanish certificate. I have worked with Texas Football, Softball, and Men’s Basketball teams as an athletic training student where I am helping with one-on-one care for Texas athletes under the supervision of certified athletic trainers and I am learning so much! I will be working at Rouse High School Athletics for the 2020 fall semester. After undergrad, I plan on attending Physical Therapy School and I am really interested in pediatrics.
In addition to healthcare, I’ve always been passionate about fitness. After my severe asthma lightened up at the end of middle school, I jumped into the fitness world. I’ve ran Spartan Races, played multiple sports in high school, and placed 5th in the state my senior year of powerlifting. Currently, I work out 1-1.5 hours a week 5-6 days a week. I’m a student intern for The Fitness School because I love helping others see how beneficial and fun being active is, no matter your age or your background in fitness. There is a sport and/or activity for everyone!
