Who We Are


The Fitness School is a goal-oriented sports and fitness development center in North Austin. The Fitness School’s goal is to not only enhance your athletic performance and life with a healthy lifestyle, but to also educate you about fitness. We offer mental, physical visual training techniques.

The Fitness School focuses on training and educating all members. We cater to youth and adults to provide individual personal training, group fitness, sports conditioning, and fitness and nutrition education.

Fitness is more mentally exhausting than it is physically. Anyone who has been committed to sports and fitness can attest to that. We are here to help guide you through it.

JASON WILLIAMS

FOUNDER / GENERAL MANAGEMENT

Jason's passion for fitness only rivals his passion to teach youth. A former Director of Operations for Gold's Gym's in Idaho and District Manager of Gold's Gyms here in Austin, Jason has over 15 years of fitness experience from all over the U.S. Now back in Austin, Jason's focus has shifted to the childhood obesity epidemic plaguing our society.

JEFF SANDERS

Murchinson Middle School Athletic Coordinator


“My mission in life is to create a positive, healthy environment that encourages students to take ownership of their life and education.”

Jeff has a Masters in both Elementary Education and General Psychology, along with more than 13 years coaching and teaching experience. Jeff also holds multiple health and fitness certifications. Notably in Personal Training, Secondary Health/PE and First Aid/CPR/AED.

Jeff’s expectations:

Zsatasha Scott


“Anyone can overcome their current physical condition and genetics with hard work, dedication, perseverance and proper knowledge.”

Zsatasha has over 10 years of playing, coaching, and teaching experience. She attended St. Edward's University on a full basketball scholarship and majored in Broadcast Journalism. After hanging up her sneakers, she earned her Masters in Educational Leadership and strives to continue education. Her mission is to teach the game of basketball and build confidence, while challenging athletes to work together and perform to the best of their ability.

David Banks

Secondary Education Coach

RP STUART


RP’s passion is that youth in the greater Austin area receive the athletic programming that will prepare them for success. Born and Raised in Austin, TX, RP attended and participated in the athletic programs at both Murchison Middle School and Anderson High School. RP’s focus consisted of football, track and baseball. “Whether it is sport related or not, I believe the benefits of sports and training are invaluable to life development…it is my goal to help kids achieve success.”

ARP received a full scholarship to Louisiana Tech University. He played five years as the wide receiver and earned his BS in Kinesiology Health Promotion. RP returned home to NW Austin to offer youth athletic programming.

MIGUEL MCKAY


Miguel’s a dedicated coach committed to the physical, mental, social and emotional needs of students. As a physical education professional, his athletic programs are rooted in good sportsmanship practices and positive attitudes towards lifetime physical fitness.

Miguel holds a BS from UT in Applied Learning & Development, along with a professional certification in Physical Education EC-12.

THERESA O'BRIEN


“Exercise is not a chore, not a habit, but a lifestyle." A fitness enthusiast for over 25 years, Theresa’s acutely aware of the importance of a healthy lifestyle and maintaining that healthy lifestyle throughout the different stages of life.

After getting married and moving to Austin, she was afforded the opportunity to explore her true passion of working with people in helping them to achieve their fitness goals. Theresa holds a personal trainer certification, along with CPT, NCCPT, TRX, CPR, AED & Trigger Point Therapy certifications.

FRANKLYN MELLA


Franklyn holds a B.S. in Exercise Science, along with certifications in NASM CPT, CPR & AED. He currently plays for a triple A minor league football team in Austin.

Franklyn’s love for fitness came from how sports and proper coaching changed his life. Franklyn’s been playing sports since seven years old, but was always the chunky kid. Through nutrition and a passion for fitness, he became comfortable in his own skin and on the field. Franklyn played football in NYC and became a city all-star. Franklyn eventually made the team at the University at Buffalo.

MIKE SCARBOUROUGH


Through his college and NFL experience, Mike’s able to pass down some of what one of the best receivers and defensive backs taught him throughout his career.

Mike’s working towards his Life Coach/Recovery Coach certificate and Interventionist License, which provides help for teens and young adults who struggle with drug addiction. I have formed a Non-Profit called How to Save a Life Foundation in efforts to bring awareness to teen addiction, suicide, and Bullying.

KEANNA WINKFIELD


“I have always believed that fitness has to be a lifestyle change –not a habit. Habits can be broken.” Keanna, a former college softball player who started and led all 54 games her senior year, has been an athlete most of her life. She has a burning passion for fitness and helping you maintain your health.

ANDREW LOCASCIO


Andrew is from Austin and currently plays for the U.T. Men’s Club Soccer Team. Andrew attended U.T. Dallas from 2012-2014 while playing on the collegiate soccer team.
